The Department

Based in Ilkeston, half way between Derby and Nottingham, we're proud to call Maltby's Creative Mill our home. A former lace factory with tons of history and it's own little quirks - but we're all a little quirky aren't we?

Our space faces west so we get beautiful natural light through our huge windows and if you're lucky enough to be in at sunset, it's truly magical!

Our equipment

We have 3 X-Pole (the market leader in innovation and safety) dual lined, competition poles, all 3.5m high in a mix of Chrome and Stainless Steel. For those who know, 2 of our poles are 40mm - great for those with smaller hands!

Breaking mirrors

We've broken with tradition so you won't find any floor to ceiling mirrors here... because ours is a place that cares about your feelings, not how you look. We encourage you to take photos and videos, but know that for some, having no choice but to watch your own reflection can be distracting or uncomfortable.

The theme

As outdoorsy, nature lovers our theme is very much 'secret garden', an oasis of calm as we all need a peaceful place to allow our souls to flourish.  

Parking and getting here

There's plenty of off-road parking available on the west side of the building before the roundabout onto Chalons Way. The door is secured so please message when you arrive and we'll come collect you. 

We're a 10 minute walk from Ilkeston train station, and there's a bus stop right outside.
